Description
The economic & financial crisis and the reactions of the EU to it, like the EU monetary policy, the austerity measures and the new agreements among EU leaders, is the showcase of how EU responds to global economic crisis for mobilizing new sources of growth.

Statement
The question of how to make Europe better, has come up several times. Some blame the Euro for creating massive imbalances in terms of competitiveness between EU member-states and suggest scrapping the single currency as a solution. Is any way to make EU better? Do we have the means to overcome the global economic crisis? Single Market is the key? What about employment and flexicurity?

EU Corporate Political Governance

Description
EU transformation with a single constitution, a single government, a single foreign policy set by that government, a single taxation system contributing to a single exchequer, a single military.

Statement
The financial crisis that has recently hit Europe has indicated that the sustainability of the EU may rely on centralized institutions and policies rather than on loosely coupled country-level organization and solidarity. However, such a unification will call for stronger commitment between the member states and it is uncertain if they currently are willing to undertake such responsibilities.
